Another Disney Star Launches Her Own Fashion Brand

Seventeen year-old Disney Channel star, Selena Gomez is gaining some more influence among teen girls next season with her foray into the wholesale clothing for boutiques business. Gomez is best known for her role in the Wizards of Waverly Place, and her new brand will launch later this year as Dream Out Loud.

One of the most creatively dressed of all the female Disney Channel stars, Selena Gomez competes with the likes of Miley Cyrus and millions of other teen stars for the affections of one Nick Jonas, the top-ranking Disney Channel heartthrob. Oh, to be seventeen again!

The brand will mirror the star’s own personal style of dress, which hovers somewhere between bohemian-artsy and wispy-feminine. Selena may be very young, but she is very smart, self-aware and she knows what she likes. So what will Dream Out Loud look like? Look for a full line of trendy junior fashion sportswear ranging from Boho dresses to floral tops, layering jackets, jeans and skirts.

Organic soft cotton and recycled fabrics will be used throughout the collection, and all items will be made to mix and match with one another, allowing customers to create a look of their own from these trendy junior fashions.

How will Dream Out Loud be seen in comparison to Miley Cyrus’ Wal-Mart line or Avril LaVigne’s collection for Kohl’s? Well, these two collections are more edgy and “rock ’n’ roll”, leaving room in the wholesale boutique clothing market for a collection of feminine, pretty clothes.

The new junior clothing apparel line will be a joint venture between Gomez, former Generra designer Tony Melilla and Sandra Campos who has been on the business side of industry giants like Polo Ralph Lauren and Nautica.
